BridgePower
So I just started playing Fallout 4 and came across a mod that removes the nausiating headbobble movements and added the code[Archive]bInvalidateOlderFiles=1sResourceDataDirsFinal=to the fallout4custom ini file. However for some reason it has disabled the animation for entering and exiting power armor and my character hides his gun. At first I thought it was the mod itself and then the NMM but I did a fresh install and decided to test each step at a time. Turns out it does it as soon as I add that line of code to the ini file.No NMM or mods of any kind and it still does it. Anyone know what's up? BridgePower
Bump. Really? No ideas?
SirTwist
The changes you need to make are in two places, not just one. You need to change Fallout4.ini, as well.
BridgePower
Thanks for the reply. I still suffer the same problem. Getting in and out of power armor is instantanious and the gun is held inward.
BridgePower
Sorry to revive this old thread but I started playing again and the issue is still the same. I have no idea what to do. EDIT: The map is different too. I noticed the stary night totally changed as well. Edited July 6, 2018 by BridgePower
Algabar
This is strange indeed. Simply enabling modding definitely doesn't change anything in your game. My only explanation would be, that you still have leftovers from mods you had installed previously in your Fallout4 folder - even if there are no plugins (.esp, .esm or .esl) files any more. Animations for example work without an .esp file, simply if they are still there. Same goes for textures, which would explain the "different" night sky and the different map. So, what can you do? Depending on how much you know about Fallout4's folder structure, you can manually delete possible leftovers. Deleting the whole "data" folder should help you get rid of most of the stuff. There's still a slight risk, that there might be something left over in your "base folder" (where Fallout4.exe is located). That's where it gets difficult, since it might be hard to tell which files are from the base game and which aren't... I'd at lest give deleting the "data" folder (and nothing else) a try and see, if this works. If deleting the "data" folder deosn't work or if you wnat to be absolutely on the safe side:1. Uninstall Fallout 4 through the "Steam library".2. Manually delete the whole Fallout 4 folder on your drive.3. Reinstall Fallout 4 through Steam. Then begin modding again. The different maps name is Tasty map which I noticed last night. It's a modded map. I own a copy of the actual game but I don't have the dlc so what I did was download it from a website but it was the entire game with the dlc. I think whoever uploaded that game had mods already installed. I'm going to have to determine what files are for the dlc and then use my disk to install it the regular way. Thanks man much appreciated. Banned - TVD.
