New modder. 3D art experience yes. NMM experience... not so much

Hello everyone. I've worked in game dev for a few years, I'm in between game art jobs at the moment and looking to make mods in my spare time.

 

What's the best place to discuss/get help with creating mods for Fallout, Witcher, etc? I'm normally pretty self sufficient when it comes to reading up on guides and what not, but working with creation kit, nifs, dds', file structures etc is kicking my ass. Or, I'm finding threads from 10+ years ago, explaining how to export "high poly" meshes for morrowind, lol.
