starting morrowind

Hi, i've been playing oblivion for the last year and really enjoyed it. Now after finishing all the quests twice and playing some mods i think i've seen the most of it.

I then remembered i once recieved a free copy of morrowind (with a graphics card i bought) but never played it. So I'm thinking about picking it up.

So basicly, what are things i should now before starting morrowind?

Are there any mods that are recommended (to start the game with, maybe some balancing stuff) or other things i should get?

thx

You don't need a balancing mod. All MW monsters are fixed level. If you like a challenge start with the difficulty level as high. It still gets too easy but at least you'll have to think at the beginning. I wouldn't take any mods on until you've got a feel for the game. It is graphically less advanced but otherwise a much bigger game than Ob with some 500 quests if you have the expansions (about 420 without). You might like to consider the Less Generic Morrowind mods (including Pax Redoran) as they add a lot to the game making places less generic as they say. Also there is Iredior if you can find it. I was involved in that and even though not all quests were completed it has a lot of content.

If you search this site you'll find many threads on recommended mods.

In Morrowind you can easily become uber by stealing, selling and train for the money.

But my reccomendation is: Don't do it! Morrowind is much more fun if you don't do that, because then you have a challenge.
