plandr
Like the title says: How do I use the CK to make follower clothing/gear tradeable in game? There are a lot of mods out that do this for default followers, but I would like to do it for some custom followers that I've added to the game. Any help would appreciated. :-)
GomuGomu64
You mean the whole "Outfits" thing? Just add the items that are in the NPC's outfit into their inventory, whilst keeping their current outfit pack. Or you can give 'em some "Everyday" clothes as their outfit, and put the items you want them to wear in their inventory.

Or you can give 'em some "Everyday" clothes as their outfit, and put the items you want them to wear in their inventory. Well, the problem is that by default "outfits" don't show up in the inventory so I can't remove and replace them with something else in game. I can just put clothing in the inventory without assigning it as an outfit, but then the NPC starts the game naked. Please advise. :-)

David Brasher
What you do is build custom outfits made of custom armor pieces with an armor rating of zero. This makes the outfits so terrible that NPCs are happy to wear anything else you give them, because it will be an improvement over what they have. This also means that when you haven't given them anything yet, they will wear their outfits and not be naked.
