Jimmy22
Hi guys, I have a strange problem that only started to occur today. Earlier today while playing my character on skyrim SE I saved the game and quit out. I happened to save the game while mounted on my horse. Anyway later on I decided to just install old skyrim and set up some basic mods for it like skse and skyui etc. (because I am planning to make a requiem play through when I am done with this skyrim SE play through) Then tonight I start up skyrim SE and load up my save and suddenly me and my horse are flying around in the sky, after re loading a few times I realized I could get off the horse quickly before it started to fly around chaotically, and then everything returns to normal. Once I dis mount and re mount the problem goes away. I tried making one new save while mounted, and one new save while not mounted and found that the problem re occurs when mounted but acts normal when I am not mounted. Does anyone know what the hell is going on here??? The only thing I can think of is the obvious change, when I installed old skyrim and skse and skyui. But I made sure NMM was set up to install the mods for the Skyrim Folder not the Skyrim SE folder. And I used the skse installer to install itself and made sure it installed to the Skyrim folder NOT the Skyrim SE folder. I am worried that something bad has happened to my Skyrim SE, I could just not save the game mounted, but this hiccup has me worried that I've screwed something up. If anyone has any idea, please let me know. Thanks.
wfandrews
Only thing I can think of is to check your fps in SSE. If you installed oldrim as stated it should have no effect on SSE.
Shabdez
Could be caused by unlocking FPS and not adjusting Havoc settings in the .ini.
yian
Are you using Convenient Horses? This is a very common issue and the best way to get around it is don't save the game while you're on horse back. Try updating to a newer version of the mod if you haven't done it already and see if that helps. You should be dismounting the horse then remount when the game load with a newer version of the mod. Jimmy22
I don't use convenient horses on my SE game. But thanks for the suggestion. As for the FPS and adjusting the .ini. Could you elaborate further on what you mean and how to adjust it? It's not a major problem, it just seems that when ever the game loads up with me on a horse it freaks out. After about 20 hours more game play since I've not noticed any other problems, except for jumping plates and dishes on tables. So i'm thinking you may be right about the fps thing. Shabdez
https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/5aao95/possible_fix_to_allow_skyrim_to_run_on_120fps/ This works for me (70-90 fps outdoors, 120 indoor).
nightscrawl
I've had the same issue, and assumed it was fps related, but my settings for fps have remained at default. I'm usually a solid 60 fps most of the time. The only workaround I've found is to save while not mounted.
