SSE Crashes when i undress my Character

Hey Guys,

As the title says my game is crashing as soon as i undress my character, to be more specific when i undress the body clothing like a tunic. I was planning a new playthrough as a mage and installed plenty of new mods so someone is probably not compatible.

A few questions. First, are you using any unconverted Oldrim armor / clothing / body mods? Unconverted means you plucked the mods from the original 32-bit Skyrim, installed them to SSE like any other mods without any additional conversion steps.

 

Have you installed any mods that replaces your xp32 skeletons that used to be compatible with your body mod?

 

This is off-topic but is there any reason you are not using a merged patch or a bashed patch when you have this many mods? And also, are these mods listed in their load order? Have you run LOOT?

Whe you lose LOOT do you get any of the mods main or otherwise that say that they need cleaned using SSEEDIT?

 

read the descriptions and make sure that you've got no mods that say it might conflict with one another.

to 1: That only converted the esp to the new formversion, not the nifs themselves. Get https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4089 and follow the instructions in optimizing your nifs.

to 3: We need the loadorder.

to 4: A merged patch is created with xEdit and merges esps into only one esp. Handy for when you want more mods than the engine can handle. A bashed patch is created with WryeBash and usually merges leveledlists only. Handy if you have mods that alter leveledlists.

To LOOT: Yes its says some need a Clean, but wasnt confident enough to to anything

If you have converted the meshes then the oldrim armor mods should be fine. It is also nice that you have converted the esps through CK, though the game would not crash if you didn't so that's not a big deal. The only thing I can think of now is skeleton incompatibility. Try uninstall everything that might use the skeleton, put them back one by one and test the game out.

Im pretty sure i found it, at least i found one mod causing the problem, but im going to check the other as well.

So far it was Joy of Perspective, the mods wants to overwrite a file from xp32 as well and i allowed it caus theres even an JoP option to activate when installing xp32.

I ran into the same problem about undressing my character crashing the game. Your post here saved the day! Uninstalled JOP and that did the trick. Thanks for the tip!
