Yes, I did kill that little prick. Why ? Most (if not all) my targets run away screaming and whining and begging for mercy. The ol' man just stood there, opened his arms and said "Go ahead." That impressed me. Just for that final act of bravery? I fulfilled his dying wish to kill my employer.

Second, on such an important mission, killing an Emperor, loose ends are like signing your death sentence, tying the noose, putting it around your neck and pulling the lever that will make the doors open, sending you to a very painful death. I don't like that. So no loose ends means that I will get to live yet another contract.

A good explanation. I honestly didn't want to fulfill my contract. I'd rather be buddies with the emperor tbh.

And, according to some philosophers, when something becomes everything it becomes nothing. I tend to side with that line of thought. The one you quote is far too simplistic and generalist to be of any use in any discussion of moral or ethical decisions.

Ayn Rand vs. Buddha. Nice.

No, I didn't kill Amaund Motierre. I didn't see the point in killing Motierre when he's more beneficial to the Dark Brotherhood alive than he is dead. If he takes command of the Empire, it might provide future opportunities for the Dark Brotherhood, and the Empire's wealth could help replenish the Brotherhood's resources and network, to reclaim what was lost in Black Marsh and Cyrodiil. Killing Motierre serves no purpose, in my eyes. Unless Motierre becomes a threat to the Brotherhood, I didn't see any reason to take his life.

The only option person I killed in "Hail Sithis!" was Commander Maro. I made it clear to Emperor Titus Mede II that I wasn't going to stab Motierre in the back - I was hired to kill the Emperor, and put the Dark Brotherhood's name back on the map. I was an assassin, after all.

Mede was a coward to sign the treaty that sold his peoples god away. Therefore, he deserves to die and for that reason I would have never accepted to become a double agent. I honor my contracts. As an assassin if I honored every dieing mans last wish I came across, well I would be out of business real quick.

If he didn't sign it Tamriel would be conquered by the Aldmeri Dominion, he was a coward to do that but he did it in order for his people to survive, like I said before if he didn't done that the thalmor would be completely in charge of Tamriel murdering everyone how shows just a little biit of resistance, he was the only victim I feld sorry about...

thats not completely true. in the battle of red ring empire thoroughly wiped out the dominion's forces. so it was somewhat like stros m'kai. it was signed because noone could continue the war.

not trying to hijack the title.
