razielleonhart
 A Random mod or mods broke my Fallout 4 a few hours ago and I still don't know what one or ones it might have been. I was able to load the game without mods but never tried to load the game as it is mod heavy. I am not looking for help I just wanted to rant as it took me to kill my install and start over again and wanted to know if anyone had this problem. Within the last week I installed 2 or 3 new mods and did not uninstall anything thing and played the game many times in the last week. I have been sitting at update 1.10.26.0 for the longest time using the script extender. From what I could tell Fallout would start sometimes crashing just before seeing the first video and sometimes I would get the main menu and it would crash there if I hit load game or new game. Has anyone ever had a problem like that before or is this just Fallout being Fallout?
TheGadget1945
I feel for you. A couple of hours ago I was in the process of building a new house at County Crossing and the game slowed down noticeably. I thought "Oh flip, it's going to CTD" but I hesitated too long before pressing Quicksave and it crashed so I lost 40 minutes work. I then got the pop up "Display Driver closed but recovered". Well thanks a lot Nvidia
Crosstieger
Fallout 4 for me is running like an absolute charm. I never had a ctd that I didn't cause by myself (messing with nif files, scripts and so on) for the last 500 hours. Never lost a safe game. It survived mod updates and removing. Whenever I installed a "bad" mod I could always uninstall it, revert to a safe before the initial installation and I'm good to go. My game even survived transferring to a new system. ... Knocks so heavily on wood that fist hurts  I always fall back to some ground rules: Never be the first guy to download a mod that isn't pure textures. Always test out most of the functions of a mod using the console. If no errors occur, load you initial safe and play. Always keep a backup of you safes. My backups come in the form of a bull load of hard safes. I don't rely on quick- or exitsafes. Why only safe you game once if you could do it twice :ninja:
