S2RA
My suggestion having face and overcome similar issue. Check NVidia console make sure it is not overiding the game parameters if it is or if your using AA through I can tell you right nor it's due to memory overload I've got 4GB of memory (physical) and 4GB of memory (virtual) and oblivion takes all of it when it shuts down with AA on without it much less. Dear S2RA :thanks: When I reinstall Oblivion and start a new game or load an existing game, the game fully functions but ONLY ONCE, after that whenever I try to play it again it just crashes. And I dont think the problem is about the system because in the begining of this year, the game was working just fine. Do you think the programs installed in the meantime might have caused this??

An Anti-Virus program could do it. Or  you might just need to defrag and maybe running a regedit wouldn't hurt much either the help more than just the game I promise, and that could be the whole problem. Of course... Maybe not

But that one look s REAL familiar  I could be thinking of a different one but I'd lay my own money on it. But if your not sure what it does support don't do anything to it. I'll try to think of the program or a work-a-round sorry couldn't do more  Edit: RegEdit is an old windows program that you now have to outsource for it checks the system registry for errors and cleans em up, it will speed all your loading saving and lower your memory usage. heck it even speeds up your internet acces a little I noticed when I did mine last. bben46
regedit is the registry editor. It is used to make changes in the registry - not recommended if you don't know much about the registry. A better bet for cleaning up your registery is a registry cleaner program,. I currently use one called CCleaner. It hasn't caused any problems. It is available here: http://majorgeeks.com/download4191.html nvraidservice is the Nvidia Raid service used for Raid setups on multiple hard drives. If you only have one hard drive this is probably not needed. Rundll32 allows dlls (drivers) to be run as programs. it can be a virus, but is probably a legitimate service. However, it can block some programs from running. Check its size. It should be 31.5 kb. The virus versions are usually larger. It is probably not needed and you could try removing it and see if it helps. If the game runs, then remove it from your start list to keep it from restarting when you reboot. Other programs that I have seen cause crashes include IM programs and game monitoring software such as xfire and steam
efe90efe
Ive tried the CCleaner and terminating the RunDLL.exe (which was 32.5 KB), then I reinstalled Oblivion and started a new game (btw as I have mentioned before I can play the game only ONCE and thats after reinstallation), the game went crazy!! My character's eyes turned gray, all the fonts suddenly dissapeared and the floor turned blue!!???????What the hell, I guess my only solution is formatting the PC.Thank you for sparing your time... bben46
You should not have to reformat your PC. The problems you describe should have been cleared up with the full uninstall and reinstall. If you follow my procedure, it removes the game completely with your original saves & Mods kept in a separate folder. As long as you don't bring those original files back You have a clean game (vanilla). In your case, I would not bring the original files back at all. Either erase them or Just keep them for reference - you can check the list to see what you had installed originally. And download all new mods. Be sure to keep a copy of your new working data folder (without any mods) and the new working oblivion\saves - with only the saves made during your trip through the sewers at the beginning and the final save at the exit from the sewer. Yours is definitely a unique problem. I would like to hear how it comes out f you do reformat. I will be out of town all week, so PM me if you do come up with a solution so I can add it to my help library. http://s1.zetaboards.com/TheStormRavenLibrary/forum/256092/
