yukikemai Posted December 11, 2017 Share Posted December 11, 2017 i need help with the companion quest line. after skyors death i did the next to quests from our lovely huntress. what do i need to do next to continuethe companions quest line because after i retrivedthe next piece i cant get any work from them or continue the quest line. i figured turning off every mod would help ((nope now i have the lovely pleasure of redoing all the mods)) but it didnt and im about to throw my laptop at a wall from this frustration. am i missing something? did i do something wrong? what the hell is going on. varkonasnorse Posted December 28, 2017 Share Posted December 28, 2017 (edited) The Companions questline is a buggy mess in the first place. Do not destroy your laptop! It's not the machine dude. I assume you are referring to the Totems of Hercine questline. Have you retrieved all three totems and placed them in the underforge? You also may not get the quests for Vilkas and Farkas to Ysgramor's tomb for the cleansing ritual. This happened to me twice and is very frustrating. Start over from your last save (I'm assuming you've probably already done that anyway). Sometimes that is enough to trigger the next sequence and continue normally. If not, you may have to force the quest stages to advance. If you do this, do them one at a time, because if you do all of them at once you can screw up the sequence order for the quest you are trying to complete. This is easy enough to do, but as with any console commands you must use caution as not to break your game. First, go to the Wiki.UESP site and find the Companions questline. It will list all the stages of each quest in the order they are presented in-game. Print or download the pages so you have them handy and then open your game, pull up the console and type in the commands. This will complete your quests. NOTE: Although you may complete all the quests this way, the Companions questline may still be buggy and glitchy. The Companions may no longer give you radiant quests and they may not follow you. It is frustrating cuz all they do is say stuff like "Hey there" and "Nice to see you", or "You're someone who gets things done. I like that." Oh, and Skjor is not really dead. He'll be back.
