Argol
I was just wondering something that I hope someone with experience could answer. Is it at all possible for the fast travel carts to move to the destination in real time?
DangerManzo
I don't think so because the carts are static objects, but I kinda hope I'm wrong because that would be pretty cool.
SinderionsBones
There are several cart mods out right now that let you drive carts around. My favorite is Companion Cart http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=12577. It's actually been recently updated. Thanks for the reminder to check :D According to the developer comments in the cart scripts, they wanted there to be that option the whole time, but the carts are just too unpredictable and buggy for that. Even with these mods you have to use it at your own risk. Look at the videos associated with the companion cart lol. The roadkill one, just from the name, suggest you may want to keep a healthy respect for these carts. That said, I use the Companion cart mod all the time on a character I have that avoids fast travel unless walking is unreasonable (high hrothgar and the like). It lets you store stuff in it, so it really helps out when you want to avoid having to go all the way back home between every dungeon.

DangerManzo
never see what you are in when you start the game for the first time? Hehe, I forgot all about that. For some reason the only thing I thought of was the cart under statics that I assumed most of the cart drivers outside the cities use.
