zibzab
I'm at my wits end, I've disabled mods, used different d3d9.dll files or whatever and can't seem to resolve this myself. I don't have too many mods, so I'm not sure which can be causing the issue. The game, while playing is always perfect and just at any random point it will crash. Crashes can vary, it can happen 5 minutes into playing or 50 minutes. Never seems to let me play for more than an hour though. dubiousintent
Are you running Win10? Did you get the "Fall Creator's Update" (FCU)? Do you have NVSR installed? If all three are "true", then please see the 'Issue: Recent (post-Win10 FCU) CTDs after 10-20 minutes of play' (and other "heap size") entries in the 'Solutions to Performance problems' section in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide. Your NVAC log is reporting "Windows Exception code: 0xc0000005". The "Faulting Application" is often the victim of another program (possibly NVSR in this instance) rather than the actual culprit, making it virtually impossible for the user to trace the source. Any recent update since the last time it was working correctly is suspect, as are viruses even if you have anti-virus (AV) running. Run AV from multiple sources when checking for infections. Unless you are running ENB, you shouldn't be "switching around" d3d9.dll files. If you are still having problems, please expand upon that aspect with more detail. (There was an old solution involving one which effectively downgraded a modern nVidia video card to an older version command set. Should no longer be needed.) I would suggest moving your "Project Nevada - All DLC.esp" before the "Cyberware Additions" and "Rebalance Complete" plugins. They are adjustments to the settings of the first. Please see the 'Issue: Recommended "Project Nevada" master file load order?' entry in the 'Solutions to Miscellaneous problems' section in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide. Please see the 'Maximizing use of memory', 'Third Rule: Rule of One', 'Essentials for Getting Started', 'Vanilla "Load Order"', 'Game INI files', and 'Restoring to "Vanilla"' entries in the 'First Timer Advice' section, and the 'Merge Patch File' section of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article.-Dubious- Edited December 13, 2017 by dubiousintent
zibzab
I got so caught in due to the fix that I forgot to express my gratitude and say what the issue was. Thank you so very much @dubiousintent, the culprit was indeed New Vegas Stutter Remover! While I am obviously getting more stuttering, I have logged over 6 hours of continuous gameplay without a single crash, I can enjoy the game again and it's a fantastic feeling. Again, thanks so much, you have no idea how much it means to me to be able to play the game again.
