Run4life
Hello Im probably daft here but I fail miserably to do something simple. I installed Nexus Skyrim Overhaul - which is a great modpack by the way - and now I tried to install Bechemans Guard Armor (armor from The Witcher II). The armor is installed and the esp is activated but the guards are still in the armor that Nexus Skyrim Overhaul installed. I did not get any "do you wish to overwrite with this mod" either so I am not surprised it didn't work, Im just curious of how to get it to work :) Had the same problem some time ago with the leafes outside RIften. They were red and I installed a green texture, probably hundred times, but never changed so I gave up on that... Thanks in advance :)
JobVanDam
Try opening the console using "~", click on a guard and type "resurrect". It will force the guard's inventory to reload. If it works, you don't have to worry about doing it to every single guard. Guards are set to Respawn so they will automatically reset their inventory after some time.If it doesn't work some other mod is hijacking the Guard NPC record or Outfit record. Use xEdit to find out what it is.
Run4life
You were right, its the Nexus Skyrim Overhaul mod that seems to decide which armor guards are supposed to use. Tried to resurrect a couple of guards and one thing noticed - it seems like the Bechemans Guard Armor mod is slowly coming there. From the beginning no guards used boots (they were invisible) and no shields. After a day or two in Markarth they started to use boots and now when I came back they also used the shields and some helmets from Becheman. The armor is still from Nexus Skyrim Overhaul. Im too daft with these xEdit and Tes5edit programs to learn more than the basics so I'll let this slip for now
