Creating a totally new skeleton without replacing the existing ones

Greetings,

 

I received permission from a modder to use his new skeleton textures in my mod. They are enhanced with gore and blood. But I do not want to replace the existing ones. It is easy enough to duplicate an existing ckit monster, and give it a different name and stats. But how to make it use the new textures? The properties on the character let you select different graphical options but none of them match what modders are texturing. So there is the confusion. What else needs to be renamed or changed to allow a new duplicated monster to use the new textures? I understand that we cannot add new animations because bethesda used a cipher to stop us, but the new skeleton can use the same animations. We just need it to use the new bloodier textures without disturbing existing textures.
