1. Can custom animations be made for NPCs? Is there a tutorial?

Can you assign one npcs animation to another?

ex: I'm trying to alter the schedule of a spouse, spec. Abigail.

I'd like to have Abby, once shes married to join the ladies for their tuesday workouts. I've got it working almost. the problem is Abigail has no exercise animation, so right now she goes to the seed shop and plays her flute. Can an exercising animation be made for her? Is there a way to apply one of the other ladies workout animation to Abigail (or willys fishing animation to say, Kent)?

 

2. can animations be applied to a specific map tile, for npcs as well as the player? ex: if the player is female, can you make an exercising animation, apply it to a specific tile, and add that tile to the seedshop, so that if you wanted to for role-playing, visit the shop on tuesdays, stand on a specific tile and have an animation begin? another example: I really want to find a way to get your spouse or any other npc to interact with your farm more. your spouse will stand on the porch or do there thing in their spot behind the house, but thats it. even when they go to and return from town, they never appear on the farm map, they go straight from the busstop to inside the house. I imagine it works this way because no two farms are the same.

Can I create tiles that trigger a specific animation (ex: hoeing, sunbathing, working a loom, etc), place them in appropriate places around the farm, and then direct npcs there through their schedule file?

Edit: Well I answered a few of my questions. It seems that most animations are from frames on a npcs sprite sheet. I say most because the animation of Marnie dancing at the wedding is not from her spritesheet. I cant find that anywhere. So i guess my next question is about the spritesheets themselves:

 

A. Whats the size limit? the farmers spritesheet is 3-4 times larger than any of the npcs. can you add that many new sprites to their sheet?

B. you can use an npcs schedule xnb to add new animations that work in most of the game, but what about inside the farmers house? Why is the spouse still in bed one morning and standing in the kitchen the next? What files control in-house spouse ai?
