Whis8
I'm very new to modding and I can't seem to get these mods to work together. The flora overhaul worked for me initially. It's when I tried to set up the LOD mods is when I ran into trouble. I was getting 2d low texture trees that I could walk through, I was also getting red shapes with question marks in them. Can someone give me some detailed instructions on how to set these up together? - FNVLODGen https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/58562?tab=description - LOD additions and improvements https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/61206 - Wasteland FLora overhaul https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/39856/?tab=images
dubiousintent
Please see the 'LOD/VWD Texture Packs' section of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article. Read the linked "LOD/VWD Overview" article carefully. This is a more complex subject than it appears at first glance. As for those specific mods: You first need to get a stable "load order" functioning. Then you have to choose which LOD mod ("Additions and improvements" or "WFO") is going to be the "base" mod. The other will be overwriting ("winning") any conflicting files between the two when it is installed second. Finally you need to run FNVLODGen, and again thereafter whenever you install or remove ANY plugins from the "load order" or texture replacers that affect LOD files. Your "red shapes with question marks in them" indicate you failed to toggle "ArchiveInvalidation" after installing loose texture files, or failed to install a necessary asset file. Please see the 'ArchiveInvalidation (by Manager)' and 'Solutions to Mesh (Red "!" icon) or Texture (solid color) problems' sections in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide. -Dubious-
