Never mind, sorry for the post.

I've got some a** to kick now.

Okie Dokie!

So basically, just installed my PC version of Skyrim today after noticing how amazing mods are on my DA:O, and I thought, hey why not?

So I found mods I liked (soooo many), got a bit confused as to how to install them, and noticed the Nexus Mod Manager.

Prayers answered right? Wrong.

My skyrim is installed to c:/program files/ The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim .

But I have no clue how to install my mods to it via the manager?

What's a Mod Directory?

What's the "Install Info" thing.

Urgh, please help, because I've installed some mods, but I think I've done it wrong.

At the moment I set both the "info" thing and "mod" thing to; c:/program files/ The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim

As the title says, i'm a modster noob. Help me quick sticks people, I'm busting to slay some dragons.

I mean, I have it on Playstation, and when I started playing the PC version it seemed normal?

And he said it was just a back-up of his game?

:/ Does that mean mods won't work?

By backup, do you mean he burned an extra disc for you persay?

EDIT: Yes, I would come back when you have legally obtained a copy, any form of piracy is not condoned here.

the mod directory is where you save your uninstall info for mods from nmm.. i put it like documents/my games/skyrim

the game directory you have is fine.

when you click on download with NMM in nexus, you also have to install the mod via the NMM, once its download click the mod and then click the green + on the left. to activate the mod.

this should auto install the mod into the game/data folder

one main mod you should install is skse. this will give you a new exe to run instead of texv.exe

http://skse.silverlock.org/

get the one that is compatible with your game, if you didnt update to beta get the top one.

you have to install that manually.

Yeah, I think that's what he did, because I started going on about how awesome PC games are with mods and he said he has skyrim on PC so he could lend it to me to check out mods and whatnot.

You can't get mods on Ps3, can you?

I wasn't actually there when he backed it up, so I don't exactly know what he did though..

Urgh, this is giving me a headache
