Mlucci4036
So this is a fairly new issue, haven't had this ever occur to me before. I was using GECK quite frequently and one day this error message popped up. "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000001d). Click OK to close the application" Never experienced anything like this; I reinstalled Fallout NV, deleted the GECK files, deleted the nvse files and tried reinstalling all of them to no avail. Any suggestions?
dubiousintent
That is an "illegal instruction" error code from Windows. Please see the "Windows Error Messages" section of the wiki "How to read most Bethesda game error logs" article. Did you install Steam to it's default location? If so, please see the wiki "Installing Games on Windows Vista+" article for why the original default Steam behavior of installing games to the "C:\Program Files" folder tree was bad (they learned better, and don't do that any more); and why "disabling UAC and running as Administrator" is NOT sufficient, with instructions how to move it. Because the GECK is installed to the same location, this affects it as well. Windows system updates often reset security privileges on their "protected" files and folders. This is the single most important thing you can do to fix and protect yourself against problems in the future. As much of a PITA as that is, it's never going to be any easier than now. Please see the 'Restoring to "Vanilla"' section of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article as well.Have you rechecked that you are launching GECK from an "Administrator" account, even if not under the "C:\Program Files" folder tree? -Dubious-

I actually just deleted all my game files and reinstalled and it worked.
