kevkiev
Edit: my mistake, the first error message talks about the registry key not the INI. Once in a while after a steam (not FO4) update, which seem to occur 100x a day, trying to run FO4Edit results in an error message like "FO4Edit can't find the fallout registry key. This happens sometimes after a Steam Update. Run the game from the steam game launcher to restore...". Not exactly, but something to that effect. When you click "ok", it mentions something about not finding the INI file, although they're all in their proper place. Not a huge deal, but I was wondering if there's some kind of trick to get around this without actually running the launcher (and having to adjust resolution and other settings). Well, actually, it could be a huge deal if trying to avoid a FO4 update by having the game set to update only on launch and running through F4SE. Hasn't happened yet, but I'm always worried that I'll get one of those FO4Edit error messages while trying to avoid a FO4 update and suddenly be unable to use FO4Edit. (Since running the launcher would result in a game update.)
