merca9996
Hello, I just thought of an idea to add some immersion to the synth paranoia of the game. The idea is to add some scanner (like a pistol) that will detect if a settler is a synth.his scanner should be found someplace with a dead scientist or something, and a note saying that the SAFE test is crap and that he make a functional scanner, only to be killed by synths, or mole rats.. etc... Anyway, the scanner should function like this: -When aiming to a settler, it would say if it is a synth. If is, two things may happen: -The settler immediatly turn hostile to you and the others settlers, cuz he's a institute Synth, and attacks. You then can kill him without any repercusions, and the settlers may comment "o he was a synth" etc.-The settler begs for mercy, admitting is a synth but mean no harm, and ask to let him go (like in the Suspected Synth Quest). Then you can have three choices: 1-Let the synth live in your settlement 2-Kill it, cuz you dont want abominations in your settlements 3-Expel him from the settlement -Having unchecked synths in your settlement will add extra chances to be raided by synths (and the settler synth joining the attack agains your settlers)-Killing or expelling the synth will keep the chances of synth raiding at normal (same chances to get attacked by raiders, mutants, etc.)-If you let him live, the chances would be normal if the synth said the truth and mean no harm (cuz he's a free synth)... or maybe he was lying... in this case there will be extra chances, but less than having unchecked synths, cuz u blow his cover Not knowing if a synth is saying the truth or not and decide what to do with him is the funAdditionally, your companion will react on what you decide... Danse will like the synth to be killed and dislike to let him live... Nick will be the opposite, etc. I dont know if this is too hard to make, i guess it involves a fair degree of scripting, but if possible i think that would be cool to have something like this.
