DraconiusRex
Hello, I hope somebody can help, I've been using the Extra Hotkeys mod to bind more hotkeys into the numpad keys, until recently, it's been working perfectly, but after I installed the On-screen Interface Key Fix mod, the numpad began acting like the regular number keys, I uninstalled the offending mod but the problem persists, also, the extra hotkeys mod still works, because when I rapidly press a numpad key, the spell bound to it sometimes gets selected/equipped, it seems that the numpad is now competing against the extra hotkeys mod for the key. I have tried removing all mods, and even a total reinstall of skyrim, but the problem endures. the numlock does nothing, whether on or off. berticus0001
I went for the "rebind any key" mod so i could use the numpad for movement ect. then tried "on screen key fix" thing same as you and found that they both mod the same keyboard layout file! I cant remember the filename, but i'm pretty sure it was in <Data/Interface> or something like that. I'm afraid if you want both to work you have to edit and merge both files together manually! but if i remember right, they both try to change the same values but only one can be used, i took a look at it myself thinking i could just rewrite it to make all keys usable and have the right one show up on screen, but after about 30 seconds of looking at it i thought "nope, not gonna happen today!" and closed the file! Sorry, but i think your going to have to choose one or the other! Once you've decided, have a look in the zip for each mod and find the offending file(s) that exists in both, then back-up and delete the one in your <Data/Interface> folder, then re-install the mod you want!Good luck! ThD17gj692
Earlier today Skyrim stopped responding to NP5 key which I use for forward motion. All other NumPad keys still work as coded using "Skyrim Key Helper 2000" by crazy-g [http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/88]. Been using NUMPAD to play Skyrim for over a year. SKSE is up-to-date as is Skyrim. Don't use mods that provide extra "hotkeys" or otherwise also use NumPad keys. So far have:1. Bound NumPad keys again (controlmap.txt).2. Used another keyboard.3. Reboot computer4. Swore a lot.5. Google search (which brings me here). If any kind soul knows how to fix this problem or can suggest other steps for troubleshooting it, please let me know. (5555555555555555555555) See! It works. Just used "Keyboard Remap FIX by Sebbo_Nation" [http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/5245] and coded my NUMPAD keys from Skyrim's "settings" and the NP5 key now works again for forward motion. Not sure what the difference is between the two methods and have no idea why NP5 suddenly stopped working, but I'm happy that a solution was available.
