shadowdef
I'm working on a large interior space mod for my personal use and I'm getting this unusual visual mirage effect. I've found a few other people with similar issues but no way to fix this problem, I have noticed that I only get the bug when I look to the west. I have no mods installed other then my mod: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1239554480
werr92
It's not a glitch. Change fog setting and clip distance in your interior.
VIitS
Actually, it is. There's a gap in your structure, allowing you to see The Void*. For some reason, when The Void is partially visible (even just a tiny sliver), it will cause that effect. *The pure white glow that is the default space for interior cells, unless you set it to use an actual background. To see what I mean, clip through the walls of a place like the Old State House, then do the same for a cave (like Vault 88).
werr92
Well I mean it's not a bug. A bug is a situation when the game system's malfunctioning, but here you see an unfinished interior, that's for sure. it's hard for me to tell from the picture whether a lightning template causes this or you see the Void. shadowdef
I don't think this has anything to do with cracks in the interior space, and yes as someone building a large interior space I know what it looks like when you look into the void, normally to get this level of distortion you need to be looking looking right into the void a small crack in the distance would not cause this. https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/915785662795140477/44D672BC6D6BE5A32E95D0A9A17B5E594F898C9F/ I'm working on a custom lighting template to see if I can solve this problem, hopefully that will work but honestly I doubt it. shadowdef
It has something to do with the number of static objects in the distance. Not sure how to fix that, I've played with increasing the number of objects that render at a distance in the .ini but that hasn't worked.
