Zakatak757
I have been wanting to make a mod involving lore-friendly weapons from the future. Some objects that came through a time wound, similar to the one on top of Throat of the World. I'm trying to learn Blender and the Creation Kit as best as I can, but I haven't been one for staying commited, you see. I actually had a story behind it too. Don't read this part if you just want to know about the mod itself. Basically in the 9th Era, the Imperials found some ruins built by an athiest offshoot group of the Dwemer, with technology far beyond even the orthodox Dwemer (they were about level with mid-1900's technology) but they vanished away with the other Dwemer before they could put their power to action. Seeing it as an opportunity to have complete and utter control over all of Tamriel, Cyrodiil began an industrial revolution. When all other races of Tamriel combined there powers to revolt against the Empire, the Empire used an atomic bomb to bring an end to the revolt, and the 9th era. Unfortunately, they underestimated the power, and destroyed themselves too. Disgusted with the actions of men, the 8 Divines left Nirn and took the power of magic with them. The 10th Era was basically the Elder Scrolls version of Fallout, and civilization started to come back by the 11th. Although wars for resources were still frequent, and nobody was able to use magic anymore. The mod would be inside some of these offshoot Dwemer ruins with a Time Wound inside. By using an Elder Scroll, you would be sent forward in time. You stand inside a room that looks like a destroyed control center. It reads "Join the Federation of Men & Mer" on a propaganda poster. There is a dead Bosmer scientist and a Imperial soldier with items beside them, as if they had killed eachother at the same time recently. On an... ahem... "strange visual device" you see a satellite view of Nirn. Items included are... Laser Staff: Similar in size and shape to a Conjuration Staff, but thicker. Gunmetal grey, with some warnings on the side about radiation on the side. A picatinny rail is mounted on top, with what appears to be a tactical flashlight. A section on the back includes room for a "energy gem" for power. Fires a beam at infinite velocity which- 80 points of fire damage per second, 40 points of shock damage per second- Weighs about 10 units- Costs 2500 septims- Drains even Grand Soul Gems in a second- Very bright beams and hums with power, hard to sneak with Energy Gems: Includes 3 different versions. Soul Gems, being magical, aren't very compatible with the laser staff. These are the only gems that can power 12th Era weapons for any long amount of time. All of them weight about 2 units each.- "Lithium" Energy Gem: can power the Laser Staff for about 10 seconds of continuous fire- "Fission" Energy Gem: can power the Laser Staff for about 25 seconds of continuous fire- "Fusion" Energy Gem: can power the Laser Staff for about 50 seconds of continuous fire Plasma Knife: In the Dagger category. A superconducting frame with a superheated plasma in between, forming a blade shape. - 9 damage, causes 20 fire damage and half as much shock damage- Weighs about 4 units- Costs 1500 septims- Super quiet weapon, hums almost inaudibly Detonator Sphere: Very very similar to Dwemer Bombs. - Area of effect of about 10m, does about 200 damage- Ignites oil on the ground- Explodes about 5 seconds after dropping it- 500 septims Imperial Combat Armor: Elder Scrolls-inspired armor, helmet (with signature dragon logo) with drop-down goggles and an antenna. Has numerous pockets for holding things.- In light category- 80 protection and 50 weight for the whole set, 3000 septims- Increases carrying capacity by 25 Superbow: Battery-powered bow with heat-seeking arrows (non-functional I guess?) that aguments your strength by doing most of the string tensioning for you (not shown, just inferred). Has digital-style camo on it, has a broken display on the side that would show wind speed and humidity, as well as a compass.- Arrows shoot at 3 times the velocity (can that be coded)- 20 base damage, weighs 16 units, 2000 septims- Includes about 30 exploding arrows with small warheads on the end, each having a weight of 2 (for balance) Anyway, I won't give up my work on this, but if any of you guys want to get a team together and give it a shot, please go ahead since I likely won't finish. I don't even mind if my name isn't mentioned. Sorry if you hate the idea. Edited March 20, 2012 by Zakatak757
