Yegor40
Years ago I was playing skyrim and used the creation kit to make maps, and for the love of god I could never ever manage to make LoD. The creation kit's LoD generator was obsolete, broken, and so you had to use 1000 different external programs to make LoD and that was simply beyond me. Is Special Edition's CK any better? is its LoD generator okay?
agerweb
As far as I am aware the SSE CK is just a port of the old one with a few tweaks. I seriously doubt they have made any improvements to the LOD generation. The only thing I have noticed about the SSE CK is that it is considerably slower at displaying cells in the render window and stuttery moving around in it. I certainly would not use it for doing anything that required using the render window, I would use the Old CK and convert.
Evangela
The CK was only updated to work with ESP files for SSE. Nothing was changed for papyrus.. they made the markers and stuff "glow" like they do for Fallout 4. New bugs though were introduced, like the ice kit shaders preventing you from clicking on them unless you turn on collision geometry. The LOD generator, the heightmap editor, all the problems that come with world building in the CK - they are all there. And the well known 64x64(or basically the middle section of Skyrim, top to down) cell limit is also still there, and an ini edit is still required to bypass that. :ermm: Short answer: CK SE ain't better. It's the same ol BS "upgraded" to work with the same game with the same ol' BS. Edited December 24, 2017 by Rasikko
