Adipose
About the only time Whiterun doesn't give me much trouble is right at the beginnng when I've no followers and am at level one. Once I've picked up three or four followers, leveled up significantly, stored resources and so on, then I start having VRAM related problems such as pale mauve areas and items, red diamond exclamations on npcs, freezes, and trouble entering places such as Jorvaskar and the Bannered Mare. CTDs also increase, particularly when I'm overweight and trying to enter a building. Other places don't give me nearly as much trouble, and when they do a quick restart is usually enough to cure that particular problem...at least for a while. A while back I upgraded my comp with a different video card which has six gig, and went to an eight core AMD cpu. Now, I'm fully aware that these aren't the most capable but they're what I could afford at the time. Anyway, my game runs a whole lot better than it did, but I've still got more problems than I like. I do a lot of immersion mods and I'm a pack rat with resources. Those seem to put a lot of stress on the game. I also use Herr Baron's "Skyrim Adventurer's Tent" which most often winds up being my primary residence since everything's so handy. It's my starter home and it goes with me all through the game. My comp may have trouble coping with the excessive amount of material I store in the tent. If I'm going to play house with my followers, then I need a regular static home as my followers won't respond entirely to the tent as home. They also relate to it in other unique ways but none that cause a problem.
