Patch 1.5 Shadow bug

I'm encountering more problems now...

When I fast-travel, I get an error message saying [WeTriggerScript < (########)>] WARNING: getMyHoldFactionControllerMarker() myHoldOwner property expected to be 1 or 2, instead have:0

Not really a "problem", but I noticed that when Dragonrend is in the favorite's list, it has a "1." preceding it. It looks like (1. Dragonrend).

Are all the problems from patch 1.5...or are some of them due to what I did? D:

This shadow bug only occurs for me after I die and reload a save. Is that the case with you as well?

When I die I restart Skyrim and it fixes it, though without a focus on role play I can see how such a heavy death penalty would be more irksome.

That 1. in front of dragonrend means it's bound to you "1" key so you will use that shout when you press 1

If anyone gets the WeTrigger error that I mentioned above, I think the fix is to re-purchase a home your previously bought. For some reason the patch may have made you lose ownership of your home(s), according to the NPC's. (Even though you can freely go in and out).

EDIT: JK. THIS DID NOT STOP THE ERROR MESSAGES.

Bug occurs immediately after I launch Skyrim. I guess you're lucky; you can just not die :]

Oh man, THANK YOU. I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW YOU CAN SHORTCUT IT LIKE THAT.

For anyone having the same shadow issue as me with ati cards (R3870 here), I believe I may have found a solution... not the best but i no longer have crazy shadows or random texture lines all over the place. I didn't have to uninstall any mods whatsoever, and at the same time i dont use any ENB series shaders... if that helps. I used a d3d9.dll file from the newvegasnexus and placed it in my skyrim game folder (where your d3d9.dll file usually is, just in case copy that bad boy for backup). My graphics adapter now says 8800gs, but i just set my settings accordingly and everything is awesome. Shadows on grass, correct lighting, and of course...all of the lovely new killmoves. Here's a link to the site and download. http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=34970

P.S.

I also got about a 12 fps gain from this!

P.P.S.

Dont use the manager, manually download.

All this did for me was crash the game. How did you adjust your settings?

I forgot to mention that you might want to use the default Skyrim launcher so that it re-detects your hardware setup. I have bFloatPointRenderTarget set to 1 and b30GrassVS set to 0 in the skyrimprefs.ini located in the Skyrim folder Where Skyrim is installed. In Documents/My Games/Skyrim I have the Skyrim.ini where b30GrassVS and bAllowCreateGrass are both set to 0, and the Skyrimprefs.ini bFloatPointRenderTarget set to 1 and b30GrassVS set to 0. These we're the only changes I made to my ini's at all. Let me know if you would like me to post my .ini files if needed for reference. I played for an hour or so and shadows drew consistently with no random pixel generation, not sure about any of the reported quest bugs though, this probably won't affect that.

P.S. after you use the default Skyrim launcher you should be able to use whatever program you use to launch it regularly, and if it crashes when you try to load a recent save, try starting a new game and make sure it worked and after that try loading an old save. Also, make sure all your mods are activated when loading your old saves.
