cdcooley Posted December 26, 2017 Share Posted December 26, 2017 You can use my Not So Fast - Mage Guild and right after gaining entry to the College (while Mirabelle is still talking with Ancano is a good time) configure it to delay the quest sequence at two points. If you give the Saarthal quest an indefinite delay you'll be free to do what you want right after the first lesson on using wards.
