acealeam
Honestly, they could do it with ease. If the dragonborn can do it singlehandedly, (Dragonborn, not natural master of killing people.), Then shouldn't the endless amount of respawning Stormcloaks/Imperials soldiers be able to take them out easily? If they declare war, they'd easily know their reasoning behind it. It's not like Ulfric just wanted power. Then they even say that Titus might have joined him. it'd be a lot easier. After all, they'd have to take out the Empire, then the Thalmor while their low on soldiers, too. Instead of simply teaming up and killing the Thalmor. Korodic
two enemies working together makes a man wonder if his teammate will stab him in the back. It is too open for either side to work together. Also if a lot of thalmor soldiers went missing then they could start another war when no one is ready. They are in a pretty difficult situation You being the player are obviously allowed to break these rules, since you could give urself god mode if you wanted, but it doesn't change the whole world for it, even if it would be kewl. jordanLoL
Nords from Skyrim fought for the Empire in the Great War. They tried this already, and lost.
magiii
Empire wont even try to fight the thalmor. they dont have enough resources. and there is the white-gold concordant. 20 years doesn't make a big difference in a time like there. so if empire couldn't defeat the thalmor at the great war it wouldn't try again before they get to full power(which might never happen) the stormcloakcs on the other hand. when they win the civil war the thalmor government takes all of its soldiers away in the fear of having them slaughtered in skyrim without the empire.(not sure if this really happens but its the only way that makes sense) the thalmor doesnt have enough soldiers and resources to invade skyrim either. and if they pull soldiers out of other regions they might provoke rebellion there to loosing everything in cyrodiil. so basically when they see the stormcloakcs win the civil war they they do a "tactical retreat". robanybody2000
Probably because in Summerset Isle there is an endless amount of respawning Thalmor. :)
