Why would the debug console command mods only partially work?

Same for the line insertion method?

I followed the instructions, watched the vids and did the changes and get the above results.

 

I can add money, stop the rain, add a level and that's about it.

I can't add an item, or use cat potion mode; these 2 I have tried and failed so far.

 

I have the W3 complete edition( with gog.com on it) on a w10/64 system

 

I am fairly new at this and need help.

Was the additem command disabled in a later patch that even stopped the mods?

not all codes/names work, am using latest steam version and there are some additem(' ') that dont work but also note some are case sensitive

I found that there is a very precise way of entering the command line and no mistakes or backspacing to correct.

Aso the amount entered isn't always allowed; example: cant give myself 20 grapeshot 3 bombs., seems only 4 allowed.

I still cant command cat vision but god works.
