keelbreaker
âHey everyone, Keelbreaker here. So, years ago (2012-14ish) I went pretty deep down the rabit hole of modding Fallout 3 and made a lot of cool stuff, but never anything polished enough to publish. In any case, all these years later I'm still playing Skyrim and I'd now like to make a "realism" script for it. Here's a list of what I want to do... Swimming: Character sinks, and defaults to walking animations at 50% speed if wearing heavy armor torso. -15% swimming speed for each piece of heavy armor equiped (boots, gauntlets, helmet). -10% swimming speed for each peice of light armor equiped. Full swim speed for wearing clothes. Character undetectable when swimming (amphibious stealth). âHealth/stamina damage if submerged in water in cold environments (the pale), only way to stop health loss is to stand near/cast fire for a certain amout of time, or leave cold weather environment, fast travel dissabled while suffering hypothermia. -20% movement speed when wet, standing near fire for x time or waiting 2x time in warm environment removes. Survival: Character must sleep once per day for at least 8 hours or all stats decrease slowly over time the longer the player goes without sleep. Some sort of visual peripheral blurring effect to let player know. Health damage after 12hrs without eating. Health damage after 6 hours without drinking. Canteen to carry water (fillable in rivers/lakes, not oceans/seas) Fast travel interrupt: Randomly interrupt fast travel by loading character in any cell between original location and destination, in combat. Pack: Inventory represented by actual pack carried on player's back. Must stop/drop pack to access inventory. Weight severly limited (100-150lbs regardless of strenght stat?), volume limit (somehow, maybe script volume values based on object type ex: heavy armor torso = large value, cloth shirt = low value) -10% swimming speed per 10% pack capacity filled. At 75+% pack capacity, player sinks in water, must leave pack behind, hold breath, or find a dry or shallow crossing. Saddlebags for horse, can carry 4x pack's capacity, -10% horse speed per 100lbs, horse unkillable but must be healed if dissabled to move. Equipped items do not take up space in pack. If pack is at full capacity unequipping items drops them. Yeah, so that's what I want to do. Off the top of my head. I'm sure I'll think of other things later. Only problem is I have no idea where to start. Like several of these are going to have to be broken up into different scripts. I don't know what to attach the different scripts to, etc. Some pointers would be appreciated, thanks.
