Swapping male and female equipment models

So I've got a mod where the male and female armours have different models for the helmets, and I like the male ones significantly better. I want to swap them so a female character uses the male helmet model.

 

Is this something FO4Edit can do (and if so, how, cause it's not making itself obvious to me), or will I need to actually download the CK and use that?

You can change the path to the mesh file with Fo4Edit, under "Armor Addon" tab, you should see both paths (only 2, cause headgear doesn't use first person models), probably something like: (...)/helmetM.nif and (...)/helmetF.nif, 'F' stands for female model.

 

But the male version fits a male head (otherwise they would use the same model), so if you use it with female model some clipping may occur and you will likely need to edit the mesh file.
