Nick Valentine sits in the wrong chair...

This is right at the beginning of Getting a Clue. Instead of sitting at his own desk and beginning the interview, he sits at Ellie's desk, preventing the quest from going any further. I removed all mods and began a new game just to make sure it was a mod and not something wrong with the game itself. I would like to pinpoint the guilty mod or mods quickly and easily if possible. I use LOOT regularly. I've tried FO4Edit, with no luck. What sort of mod could cause this problem?

Hmm, I have no idea sorry :( This may seem really dumb, I don't remember it well but i have a weird glimmer of a memory of having a problem in there and realising you have to sit down for it to start. May be total nonsense, if so sorry.

No, when Sole sits down in the interview chair or in Nick's own chair, Nick is out of reach in Ellie's chair. I know this is caused by a mod, since it doesn't happen in an unmodded game. If anyone cares to do some mod forensics, here's my load order:
