BroninWrathbourne
Hello,I picked up Skyrim SE on Steam sale a while back, and have played it some off and on since then. I recently decided to see what sort of fun could be had with mods, and went on a downloading spree. One of the things I really like is the Cloaks of Skyrim mod, because what good fantasy world isn't FULL of cloaks? However I was pretty disappointed that the cloaks don't provide any warmth in survival mode. This, of course, lead me to do a whole lot of reading, downloading the CK, and some experimentation, and I now have cloaks that provide warmth. The author of the Cloaks of Skyrim mod has indicated that he's not interested in patching for survival compatibility, but indicated that others are welcome to make patches for his mod. Which brings me to my question, is there any interest in a patch for this?If so, what do you think the warmth values should be in order to keep things balanced? Here's what I've come up with as a starting point for warmth values. I based them on what I could find for information on how most cloak mods seem to work in Frostfall, and how other mods work in the regular survival mode. Cloaks of Skyrim doesn't have any fur cloaks, so I made the linen equivalent to what most fur cloaks from other mods provide just in case someone wants to run only one cloak mod. Capes Cloaks Burlap 8 17 Hide 18 24 Linen 29 54 For reference, 54 is the same value as a set of "warm" armor, like Fur or Steel. In my testing I discovered that a Linen cape would keep me warm for a couple hours (game time) while running around outside Whiterun at night as a Nord in leather armor, after that I started to get a little chilly. A Linen cloak seems to be sufficient to keep me from ever getting cold in the same conditions. This seems pretty decent as Whiterun seems like the sort of place where a nice jacket would keep you comfy. If people are interested I'd be happy to finish changing the rest of the cloaks, for the rare ones I'm thinking I'd just decide which of the above categories they most closely resemble visually and then add a little extra warmth to them to account for the fact that they're more than just your average cloak.Your thoughts and feedback would be appreciated.
