Bawlskin
Every time I launch oblivion and load my save I get no sound whatsoever. The launch menu and main menu still have sound and can hear the title music but the second I get in game I can't hear anything. I have played oblivion on this system before and had no problem. Most recent drivers update AMD 17.12.2 Not sure on exact specs but Intel i5Radeon HD 7870
Deleted21304489User
First, this is a Fallout 3 forum. That being said... do you have your speakers turned on and volume turned up? ^^ Edit: My bad. For some reason your post is viewable in the FO3 forum. Weird. Bawlskin
First, this is a Fallout 3 forum. That being said... do you have your speakers turned on and volume turned up? ^^I'm sure it says I'm in Oblivion Technical Support. Maybe I should have stated the obvious. I checked my drivers updated what I could I have checked volume sliders and if anything was on mute nothing seems to work. I have been going around for probably and hour now trying to fix this. Surilindur
Are you using HDMI through the graphics card with the graphics card somehow being involved in audio processing (like, plugged in HDMI to the back of the graphics cards with audio coming through that)? Have you tried plugging in the audio cable (headphones, speakers, etc.) at the back of the motherboard directly, to test if the graphics card driver is to blame somehow? Like, if the audio works fine on the motherboard but not through graphics card HDMI, then the graphics card driver could be the problem if it worked before fine that way. If the audio does not work when plugged in to the motherboard, then the problem might be somewhere else maybe? Also, is it just Oblivion that does not work... ? Other than that, I have no idea where to start looking, beyond checking if your in-game audio settings actually have been set to play sound (and maybe temporarily renaming oblivion.ini and running the launcher to gnerate a new one to test with a fresh ini). Hopefully that helps at least a little, and hopefully someone else has a better idea of where to start looking.
berkhizarci
sorry to necro this but that problem took me 2 hours to solve and I want others to learn about this . When you go under %30 music in in-game options , music just disappears . When you drag music to %35 , it appears again . So just don't let music be under %35 and problem should be solved at least that's what I did to solve my problem . I don't know whether this solution can really solve the problem but I just wanted to leave this here , to others who still play oblivion in 2020 .
