mfys
This might sound stupid but I installed horse armor mod for skyrim special to normal skyrim without noticing that it's for the special edition Now the horses transformed to something that looks like a red cube and When I ride then I just control them without the dragonborn riding them and I can't return to control the dragonborn when I'm far from himI tried to uncheck the mod and deleting it but it didn't work Does anybody know how to fix this? wfandrews
Only way you are going to be able to play your game without problems is to go to a save before you installed the mod or start a new game.

wfandrews
Are you using MO or NMM to organize your mods. If you are using NMM I can give you some things to try; if you are using MO someone familiar with that program will have to help you.

wfandrews
Are you saying you uninstalled the mod in NMM and then started a new game but the missing meshes and other problems were still there? That red cube you are describing is usually indicative of a missing mesh. If that is the case the first thing I would try is to verify the integrity of your game files. Before doing this delete your skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini files. After doing so and verifying your game files you will have to launch your game from the Steam launcher once to recreate those files. You will also have to clean your master files again. You might also go to C:/Games/Nexus Mod Manager/Skyrim/mods and if that mod is still there delete it manually That is where NMM stores mods by default, when you uninstall a mod in NMM it does not remove it from there but only from Skyrim/Data.
