a newbie with only two other mods can't successfully install ‘Auto Apply Oils’ mod

Hi…and thank you in advance for any help…ESPECIALLY if said help results in my being able to use the ‘Auto Apply Oils’ mod (V.1.31-625)

 

1. My setup:

Steam Witcher 3 (latest update) 1.31

…for which at around level 10 I added the 2 Commercial add-ons, which I understand makes me equal to GOTY, right?

Currently level 20 in Skellige.

Current OTHER mods are only two: Over-9000 Weight limit mod (v.1.0.8.2-3-1-08.2)

&

The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project (latest version)

…both those mods were installed before I started the game, and work great

 

2. Background

Use NMM to install mods, for which I am quite familiar in using with Skyrim

 

3. Further background

I have been unable to install 2-for-2 mods I have tried around level 10,being the ‘Fast Travel from Anywhere’ mod (which I no longer care to use anyway) and THIS one here, the ‘Auto Apply Oils’ mod…which I VERY MUCH wish to play

 

4. And the problem?

… if I install and enable either of those mods the red initial game window starts to load scripts, and half-way thru I get a loooong console error screen…which the ‘retry’ button never resolves.

 

(see very bottom of my inquiry for error message generated)

 

So I disable the mods and all works well again

 

So I write to you guys with these questions:

 

1. In Skyrim one can add mods after playing the game, in fact can add them at any time.

Can one with Witcher 3?

…because if not, if one can only install mods before the game is started I will stop trying

2. Does the ‘Auto Apply Oils’ mod work for anyone?

Has anyone had a similar issue, and how did they solve it?

I am willing to try basic trouble shooting.

However I would like to avoid major tinkering with the game files as I can live without the requested mod if need be, and I don’t want to do anything, after all these hours invested to get me to level 20 & Skellige, screwing up the game

Nevermind

 

I went to mod author's page, and he/she recommended 'verifying game integrity files'...which I did

Steam 'reacquired' 3 missing files upon said check...and now all is well :pirate:

 

Although this was my problem (of course), I am nonetheless a little surprised that no one on the mod troubleshooting forum would know this?

Oh well- perhaps my experience will help someone else with a mod startup issue as a good '1st step' to take
