TheOldPineTree
Hey guys, Here is what happened. I tried to install a couple mods from LoversLab. I had already installed a couple mods like CBBE, whiterun stuff, and other things like interesting NPC's and a 2k re-texture. The Lovers Lab mods obviously didn't work so after realizing I had to go into the FNIS files and update some movement thing to make sure all of the animations worked , it seemed to be working fine, a little slow but nothing worse than a second or two delay in animations. Here is where it went downhill. I went into the bannered mare I would get an infinite load screen. So I would have to restart my computer, load it and then it would start up. I figured out is I had to go in task manager and manually stop Steam and then start skyrim and the game would load again. Now I could travel to Riften and everthing was fine and eventually I wnet back to the bannered mare and was able to go in easily, eventually I loaded the game one day and it looked super dark and fuzy, so I turned the in game screen brightness up all the way traveled to riften and it was back to being just as dark as it was in Whiterun, I went to change the light back to high and it was already up as high as it could go but it would go darker if I wanted it to. SO at this point I closed out of skyrim and reloaded it except that now I was greated with an infinite loading screen, moving my cloud mod into an earler load order helped it load although the second time I went to load it I just got infinite loading screen so I decided to delete skyrim and re-install it. Well after doing that twice (I have read the forums and I swear I have followed the directions to return it to vanilla) but my load stuff is still there and I can't get a clean version of skyrim. Now I have followed these instructions below and these also: http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Make_Skyrim_Vanilla_Again and I STILL HAVE OLD FILES AND IT WONT LOAD ANYTHING. Can you guys help? I am not sure how to do the first step in the link , but I have deleted every adn anything to do with skyrim on my computer. Thank you for any help! Here's a guide to completely uninstall Skyrim from your PC including all the mods:1. Uninstall Skyrim.2. Delete your Skyrim folder located in your steam directory.3. Delete your Skyrim folder located in "<Your Username Here>\Documents\My Games\Skyrim".4. Uninstall your mod manager program (Nexus Mod Manager or Mod Manager)5. Delete the folder used by your mod manager that holds all your installed mods.6. Execute a search scan on your computer for any left over files.7. Install Skyrim. If you followed the above steps you will now have a completely fresh installation of Skyrim. Hope this helps!
Raults
1st off: Make sure you have all the mods you want before you do a full playthrough and I suggest having test playthroughs where you do at least 1 radiant quest to test out features you added. 2nd: ILS don't come from mods more than often, they come from memory issues. If you're running a lot of mods and you have a low rig computer or have not added ENBoost or memory logging to your skyrim then you need to ASAP. There are tons of guides for this, this is one for both these things that I like quite a bit:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYgFihHMD4w
