Massive save files?

Found out what was crashing my game, my save files were over 300 megabytes.

But why were they so large?

I deactivated all my mods, besides he texture packs.

 

I use

Skyrim realistic overhaul

Vurt's flora overhaul

lush grass

lush trees

better dynamic snow

Beautiful skyrim better clutter and furniture

W.A.T.E.R water and terrain enhancement redux

 

What is causing my save files to become so large?

 

EDIT: when i dont acvtivate mods, save files are normal size. however when i do, they bloat to 90 gigs.

can any one tell me which mod is resp0nsible?

EDIT AGAIN: well it turns out that when i don't have mods the save file still bloats. help

I have no idea. Those mods are only visual enhancers, most of which I also use, but that doesn't happen to me. I don't think it can be any of those mods, are you certain you never had another one installed on that save before that could have bloated the save before you uninstalled it? Yes, i fixed that problem by going all the way back to a much earlier save.

The save files are only 5 gigs, but when i enable any of my esp. mods the save file suddenly becomes 90 megabytes. ?the f***.

help please

The mods below I've all used at once with no ill effects:

 

WATER - Get Wet.esp

Chesko_Frostfall.esp

SoS - The Dungeons.esp

Duel - Combat Realism.esp

DeadlySpellImpacts.esp

WiS IV - Normal mode.esp

So it shouldn't be any of those, though if they conflict with other mods remains to be seen.

 

Try activating them in groups of five, saving your game, and checking the file size. Once you hit on the correct group of five that bloats your save, test each of the five one by one until you find the mod that's doing it.

 

If no single mod does it, assume it's a conflict of some kind and test in larger and larger groups until you get the conflicting mods in the same group. From there, you can narrow down the group looking for the conflict.

Anybody know why my save files are so big even without my mods?

 

I deactivated them all yesterday and they still went over 40 megabytes
