ShitagiDorobou
I was having a good time, impaling the Orcs residing in Cracked Tusk Keep with ice spears, when suddenly, the sound of a powerful storm began playing for no reason. Unfortunately, it's stuck in a loop and plays everywhere I go. I've tried reverting to previous saves before the bug occurred, using the "sexchange" and "showracemenu" commands, fast traveling, waiting, as well as transforming into a werewolf to fix the issue (said methods supposedly work for some people), but everything is futile. I discovered the only way to make it stop is by starting a new game. This is not an option for me. I haven't spent 208 hours and 43 minutes of my short, insignificant life on my current file only to have it destroyed by such a small, yet game-breaking bug. If anyone out there can help me, I'll reward you with some warm breast milk, fresh from my mother's hairy teet.
Rennn
I suppose you could get a silent audio file and replace the storm sound with it. That would forever stop the storm noise, but it'd be better than hearing it constantly. Edit: Also, maybe if you cast the Storm Call shout it'll go away after the shout is done? Just a guess.I don't want the reward. I'm just that nice. Edited March 25, 2012 by Rennn

Do you know how one would replace this or simply remove it from the BSA? BSA unpacker is useless in that regard.
Rennn
Don't remove it, your game might crash.I made a quick mod that'll hopefully solve your problem. It'll also make Alduin's Stormcall silent, but I'm guessing you won't care about that much if it means getting rid of the endless noise. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=13704 If it doesn't work (it should), I must have gotten the directory wrong. Tell me when you've downloaded it, because I'd prefer not to have such a simple mod cluttering my profile :)

Have a well-earned kudos and maybe consider leaving that file available for download in case someone else encounters the bug. It may be a simple mod, but it's also incredibly helpful. A worthy addition to the slew of mods on this site if you ask me.
Rennn
Tempting, but I haven't heard of the bug before and I'd prefer to keep my file list down. Chances are it's a random thing on your pc. Keep the zipped folder in case you ever reinstall Skyrim and run into the problem again.
btyop
Can I have the mod please? I also got that annoying bug :wallbash:
Rennn
I'll put it back up later, then. Since it's apparently more widespread, I'll leave it up.
btyop
It works like charm, thank you so much! I'll endorse when I can.
ezix
Finally found someone else with this bug, do you think you could upload the mod again? Such an annoying noise... EDIT: Nvm found your profile, just the link you had posted earlier was outdated. Edited April 10, 2012 by ezix
