viblake
I've started playing again recently and had a custom robot as my companion for carrying capacity, but I really want Piper back. The issue is, she never follows me, where the "Come with me" or whatever dialogue to recruit her is just the "Let's go our separate ways" command. I've tried teleporting her to my base in Sanctuary and getting her next to a bed and sleeping in it, which sets off the Lover's Embrace, but she still will not follow me. jjb54
I know that there are some mods that can affect this: So what mods do you have that have a " cause / effect " on NPC & Followers? That is where I would begin to look. .. Jj ...
viblake
I tried turning all my mods into inactive in NMM, I currently have one that is directly under "Companions", which is Loving Piper, because who doesn't love Piper?

Rule #1:Never play the same saved game after making serious and/or minor Mod Changes to the game. Yes, it's likely 98% corrupted. Sorry.

Most mods that break the game I just use NMM and disable mods to find which is causing it. Im just gonna do a new playthrough anyways, I was already planning to, and I'll use Piper, and on my main playthrough Ill use Cait.

Well first: * Start a new game, clean save. * IF you are using mods that are indeed " problematic ", since I don't know what mods you are using. * I would suggest you read the Mod Description Page carefully.... IE: I don't use " start me up ", mod. But I learned, today - that for those that do use it and the Horizon Mod, there can be problems. So do some homework and pay attention to suggested LOAD ORDERS as well. .. Jj ...
