ARG spotted fever.

Get ye to the vitamin bottle.

For Rocky Mountain spotted fever I take LYSINE

You have to get anti-inflammatory (every thing). It is critical to avoid refined sugars and Stress (biological) that cause inflation. My hands used to get so bad I could not make a fist. OH man I could not write my name with an F'n pencil. It made me so mad....

Dammed Ticks... I am so sorry to hear this.

I have a few wishes left so let it be so that this one I know as: jojo man be blessed with what is needed.

Now I ask you to accept "forgiving" inward and out-ward. This is needed for your healing. Look inside your heart to find what you need.

You will find much help beyond the experts "knowledge"... Sleep on it.

Blessed be.

Get some good Vitamins and minerals.

Treatment

Appropriate antibiotic treatment is initiated immediately when there is a suspicion of Rocky Mountain spotted fever on the basis of clinical and epidemiological findings. Treatment should not be delayed until laboratory confirmation is obtained. In fact, failure to respond to a tetracycline antibiotic argues against a diagnosis of Rocky Mountain spotted fever. Severely ill patients may require longer periods before their fever resolves, especially if they have experienced damage to multiple organ systems. Preventive therapy in non-ill patients who have had recent tick bites is not recommended and may, in fact, only delay the onset of disease.

Doxycycline (For adults, 100 mg every 12 hours. For children under 45 kg [100 lb], 4 mg/kg body weight per day in two divided doses) is the drug of choice for patients with Rocky Mountain spotted fever. Therapy is continued for at least 3 days after fever subsides and until there is unequivocal evidence of clinical improvement, generally for a minimum total course of 5 to 10 days. Severe or complicated disease may require longer treatment courses. Doxycycline is also the preferred drug for patients with ehrlichiosis, another tick-transmitted infection with signs and symptoms that may resemble Rocky Mountain spotted fever.

Chloramphenicol is an alternative drug that can be used to treat Rocky Mountain spotted fever; however, this drug may be associated with a wide range of side effects and may require careful monitoring of blood levels (as it can cause aplastic anemia).

I used to travel in the Far East a lot. Because Maleria and other unpleasant diseases are endemic I always covered myself in insect repellent (as well as taking the various pills they made you take in those days). Even so one mosquito bite in Thailand gave me Dengue fever (aka breakbone fever). You can get it in the US too. The first I knew was when my temperature went so high I began hallucinating, telling people to close the curtains because the sun was shining in my eyes - in the middle of the night. That passed after three days and I thought I was well. (At that point I was in Singapore and the local doctor had told me it was a virus, no more.) The next part of the disease - the reason for its nickname - hit me as I was flying from Singapore to Papua New Guinea. I came out in a distinctive rash and my bones began to ache all over. I couldn't stand up or walk. I was taken off the plane on a stretcher and rushed to the local hospital in Port Morseby. The doctor took one look at the spot covered, sweating, moaning, agonised wreck I had become and said. "Oh, Dengue fever. You've survived the worst of it, take a couple of aspirins and you'll be fine in two days." He was right too. But I wouldn't wish it on anybody!

be aware these "bug-borne" infections can spread to your neck of the woods given the right climatic conditions.
Dengue is transmitted to humans by the Aedes aegypti (rarely Aedes albopictus) mosquito, which feeds during the day
Americas

* Puerto Rico: [21](August 2007) 2,343 confirmed cases of dengue in 2007.

* Dominican Republic:[not in citation given][22](August – October 2006) 4,968 cases with 44 dead

* Cuba: Media reports [23][24][25][26] (dated September and October 2006) speculate on an outbreak although there is no official report

* Brazil: 2008 Health officials say an outbreak of dengue fever has infected more than 110,000 people in Rio de Janeiro state and claimed at least 95 lives since January 1st. An outbreak of Dengue in the first seven months of 2007 reported more than 438,000 cases of dengue fever, with 97 deaths.[27]

* Mexico: As of October 2007 there is a serious problem in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon almost reaching epidemic proportions.[citation needed]

But if we go Ape Sheot and distry the insects, arachnids and other invertebrates that "seem to plague" us I assure you we will all suffer. I have brown recluse spiders in this shed right now. Do I fear them? Dah! yea. do I hate them? NO! I bug bombed for roaches in house back in the 80s but I always had more F'n roaches and nasty poison in my face to boot!!!

But now in my spider infested shed, yea I got spiders who are scared of me and me of them. But I Ain't got @#$ roaches or ants. I ain't got no @#$ poison crap in my face and Now nothing gets into my food like they did in that house I bug bombed. I like my spiders. I am blessed to have them. Not all of them are recluses. There are always some jumping spiders who entertain me while they get the job done.

I am thankful for spiders and ants and flies and even Mosquito. Malchik was well tested and I am sorry for your hardship but I can not hate Mosquito. I am affraid of the west nile virus as I live out side all of the time. I wanted to hate Mosquito.

We always hear of the bad that insects do but Mother told me a story about brother Mosquito. It was a powerful story that changed me. It is a long story. Too long for this thread. But to make it short I will say I wanted to hate Mosquito. Mother Earth told me Mosquito saved mankind from many plagues that would have destroyed my people. Mosquito was meant as a blessing and acts like immunization for whole populations in a way I can not put into simple words. Mother showed me in symbols that we do not have today to show. Many die so that the strong live. Brutal truth is still truth. Life was, is and always will be tested by the truth.

Science has "new Knowledge" but it's wisdom is only short term. Our Mother Earth is well tested by time. I trust Mother Earth. I Love her and I will always respect her. Even if I die by her truth.

Blessed be....

I ain't got no pencil Butt I got That that is!

After looking at the Wiki article, it seems I was alot better off than I could of been. I had a high fever(103.4), Vomiting(I couldn't keep down water and saltine crackers), Headache from hell(felt like a grenade went off in my skull), and my entire body seemed to swell very,very slightly after a couple of days. But after reading about the exteme cases, I apparently had it pretty easy.

EDIT: And thanks for the well wishes Buddah!
