Pelgar
I unchecked Light Markers, sound markers and about everything else in Geck's View Menu so I could add anavmesh without them obstructing my view. This helped while doing the navmesh but now the little blue guys at furniture are no longer visible. This is a bit odd because the blue guys were in place whileI was doing the navmesh!I've tried everything I can think of to get the blue furniture guys to come back. I've checked pretty welleverything in the View Menu, individually and as groups but nothing seems to work. I've closed and restartedthe Geck several times. If you haven't guessed I'm pretty new to the Geck. I haven't done any modding since the early days of Id'sQuake series, so you may as well say I'm new to modding as well.I've been working my way through the tutorials at:http://geck.bethsoft.comThe tutorial has you construct the complete vault then clutter and navmesh. I've been constructing my ownvault a room at a time, cluttering and navmeshing as I go. Am I causing problems doing it that way? Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated. Pelgar
My blue guys came back! Apparently I didn't mistreat them to badly! I gave up placing furniture and moved on to the lighting tutor at http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php/Bethsoft_Tutorial_Lighting They said if I couldn't see the editor light bulb markers to press the M hot-key. I didn't see the bulbs so I pressed M and could see the bulbs and the blue guys which I now assume are referred to as markers. It seems very odd to me that the M hot-key would toggle these while checking the View/Markers options does not! Well the View/Markers option works now but it didn't before I toggled the markers via the M hot-key. I also just discovered the F5 (humm, hot-key, function key...) to restore everything I'd hidden via the the 1 (that's a one not a lower case L)hot-key. So either the M hot-key of the F5 unhide all key persuaded my blue guys to come back. Since anyone that has read this far is probably as new as I am to the Geck I'll point out that to switch from Perspective to Ortho views you press the number Zero not the letter O. I point that out because I worked entirely in Perspective view for several days because I couldn't find a menu option to change views and pressing the letter O did nothing!
