Game crashes when I leave modded Beezehome - help

Hello everybody,

 

hopefully someone can help me. I modded Breezehome and inside the house everything works fine. I also have no problems entering it. But when I leave it the loading screen appears and after a few seconds the game always crashes. I am using some mods for Whiterun, too but since I uninstalled them all to see if one of them is causing the problem I can be quite sure that the problem is caused by my own Breezehome mod.

Does anyone have an idea what might be the problem? I would be very grateful for some help since I put so much time in this mod and it would be really sad if I couldn't use it because of this.

Don't know if this helps, but since the 1.5 update the "Better Honeyside" mod simply causes CTD's in Riften, even without purchasing it (just having it loaded). I tested that with a clean Skyrim install and only that 1 mod loaded and still get CTD's whenever I fast-travel to Riften or open the Riften gate. I never had a problem with that mod at all before the 1.5 update.

 

I don't use any other house mods that are in cities other than the one I described, the other house mod in the wilderness I use has no issues.

I found it when getting ctd when leaving my modded Vlindrel hall. I have not found a solution to my problem yet....

Thanks to both of you. So far I didn't solve the problem but the link was quite helpful to see what might cause the CTD.

I will try to reduce the file size because that's obviously a risk factor for crashes. I might also try to link the cell to another environment. If I find something which works I'll let you know.

it's not the filesize. It's the navmesh. The new patch broke custom navmeshs. Delete the navmesh, and this will work. After new patch fixes navmesh, readd navmesh. You don't really need a navmesh in a house anyways, other than to let your follower come inside with you... He / she will just wait outside at the door without a navmesh. No big deal.

ok... i came here because i had exactly the same problem as all of you... but i found the problem!

 

the problem from what i can tell is modding Breezehomes existing navmesh, so with a basic mod, a cell joined by a door to breezehome would itell just joining the navmesh to the door and your done, this crashes the game, but...

 

completely wipe Breezehomes navmesh and remake, and your good! its as easy as that

 

(a quick way to rebuild the navmesh is just highlight the floor and loft pannels, then build from OBJ)

 

what i dont know is, if you add to Breezehome, the size matters..? not done that yet as i built an ajoining 'home' to all homes, (its a dark brotherhood mod)

 

can anyone test this? make sure this works for all please?
