X6-88 not showing up as a companion

Hi

On this playthrough I finished the game with the BOS blew up the institute after doing the directorate meeting, eventually found x6-88 at the Libertalia site but when I talk to him he just says it was an honour fighting with me but I am not given the option to recruit him.

 

After doing some reading on the internet the closest thing I have come to which I think relates to my case is that X6 has been removed in the game as a companionj, is there a way of getting him back via console commands or is he lost forever and doomed to wait at Libertalia forever.

 

I have tried the PRID route which included recycleactor, resurrect, enable and moveto player also Prid, resurrect, disable, enable moveto player but he dissappears each time and reappears but still no further than I was before.

 

Any ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a semi-bug as you have found out.

 

But there are other things that can add to this " bug ".

 

.. Do you have any mods that directly - indirectly change followers?

..... IE: Amazing Follower Tweaks or Unlimited Companion Framework

 

.. Do you have any mods that change Followers A.I. ?

 

.. Do you have any mods that change Quest related missions?

 

All of the above can have issues and thus Console Commands in some of these will not work.

Thanks for the response jjb54, I do have UCF and smarter companions but apart from the smarter companions I have used the other mods on previous playthroughs with no problem recruiting x6 88, are there any commands I can try that you know of.

I have read that Smarter Companions - X6-88 is part of that Mod.

 

Here is what I would suggest, and yes it's a P.I.T.A. .. trust me I know, been there done that .... way too many times.

 

I just had a friend, um, " Jj, I feel totally stupid.... " I asked him, which happens to be X6 as well: Have you met the requirements for him to be your Follower? " ... He told me, " Yes! ", only to find out ... No, he had not met the requirements for X6 to be a follower.

 

So are you sure you have met the requirements?

 

1st - Back up your saved games, JUST IN CASE.

 

2nd - After you Backed Up your saved games. ;)

 

( I'm not subtle am I? )

 

Disable the Smarter Companions Mod and see if X6 will work?

 

Now there is a chance that he might not, as the Script from SC might still be lingering.

 

You may have to start a NEW GAME ... to see if it fixes it or not? < - Yes, a P.I.T.A.

Thanks Jj for your advice to date and I am glad to say that when I disabled the SC mod and went back to X6 he was as before so I did the commands prid e210a, resurrect, disable, enable, moveto player and lo and behold he had the command sign up so I could recruit him.

 

It must have been the mod which was preventing him in the first place but it also looks like I needed to do the command line as well, even though the same command line did not work when I had SC activated.

 

Only wish someone would sort out the RR problem with X6 now, I have to dismiss him each and everytime I want to interact with the RR, I have tried various commands to make him friendly with them but it does not work.

As to the RR & X6. I was caught totally OFF GUARD when I brought him with me to report to RR. Talk about a change of attitude! It was OPEN SEASON on me and X6. I just laughed out loud and going, What the heck?

 

Re-loaded a prior save and told X6 to "Stay put, please. Otherwise this will not "end well"... " ;)
