Alpha16
We all remember at the beginning of Fallout New Vegas we got the chance to play in hardcore mode which made the whole damn thing a lot more complicated. you had to eat food and have a regular supply of water as well as being weighed down by ammo and having to get your rest. this made the game much harder and a greater challenge but at the same time it was also more interesting. what would you guys think about a version of this in Skyrim. you'd need to eat once a day and you'd need to drink water constantly. you would carry less allowing you to take only the bare essentials. you'd also need to sleep, couldn't fast travel and would need to wear clothes to keep you from freezing to death (unless you were a nord then it wouldn't effect you as much) for instance wearing armor that only covers you waist might be bad and wearing a full suit of armor padded with fur would be the sensible thing to do. just because you have the soul of a dragon doesn't mean you have to freeze you bullocks off. yeah this would be a lot more difficult and it would take longer to do stuff but it might make it a little more interesting and perhaps make you look around and admire the environment. I tried this out a bit. i ate once a day, i kept myself hydrated, i didn't fast travel, i slept somewhere every night, i didn't just wait for several hours to speed things up, i also didn't carry around 400 lbs of weight on my back and still somehow be able to charge into battle wielding a massive 50 lb warhammer made out of glass that somehow mysteriously didn't smash to pieces and finally i turned the difficulty up so i couldn't just kill a 50 foot dragon with a single arrow just like it didn't take 200 arrows to the face to kill me. after doing this for a while, i hadn't made much progress but it is was very interesting. i discovered a lode of new places and i ran into really weird stuff along the road. give it a try and see what you guys think. Arialina
Hi .I tried that one time ago , playing skyrim with severals mods such as real time picklocking, survival (need to eat and drink you could also got sick from eatting rotten food and drunk when ..wine and alcohol xD) i also used the cold gestion , also an mod included the rest time after runing long (that madees you thirsty ) and ..all that in Normal mode...well i spent more time trying to survive than looking for adventure xD..I can remember how long it was just to go and get back the gold claw at the early begining , finding torch as well(cause i added mod for realistic enlightment)...i even decided not to use the fast travel ...and omg that was really hard..i finaly gave up , i m the kind of compulsive person that keeps anything he find ..i will remember how it look messing with guard as you are drunk and trying to run away .."i was adventurer in the past then i received a large amount of arrow in the ***" But one thing i ll keep in mind was .."awww i ve never been in a such place before" yeah traveling makes encounting much more realistics and i like that ..i m the kind of explorator much more than adventurer ..one interesting path leaded me to another one..the challenge was really huge doing that in realistic immersion situation :)
Azkron
I would really like a mode like this, but what I Really miss is a Hardcore mode of the type of only one life. Or that when you die you loose dragon souls and that if you do not have any more dragon souls then you are permanently dead.
