Can't Use Map or Tanning Rock

I've just started my first file on the PC version of this game (original, no DLC), and every time I try to use a tanning rock, it lets me choose what I want to make, but when it asks me to confirm (it shows Yes or No), it doesn't register when I try to click on an option. The same thing happens whenever I try to place or move the marker on my map. It won't even let me exit the options box, so I have to shut off my entire computer!

 

I downloaded my game on Steam, if that means anything. For mods, I have:
