I've discovered Serana a few days ago, idk if that's one of mods or just her different animations, but she gesticulates guite a lot. Well, she does it during all the dialogs, but still it looks waay better than all other characters talking.

And there were awesome mod for oblivion which made every character type in game use different animations, that really made the difference. Would be nice to have smth similar, even using existing animation mods.

Yes.

If Bethesda made it easy to add animations, then modders would be more able to help fulfill such a request.

Yes you are right. Like I said earlier.. they should have created some kind of tag system. A support for creating unique animations for certain npc types.

There's already a tool somewhere to give npc´s unique animation that but I forgot the link. It's somewhere on nexus. But it still requires to edit all npc´s.

What I meant was that until FNIS came out, if you wanted to create new animations, it was virtually impossible without overwriting an already-in-game animation. This is all because Bethesda wouldn't include a tool to add new animations in the CK. They weren't actually to blame because Havok owns that technology and Bethesda wasn't allowed to distribute it.

Ah I see. That's really disappointing then. =/

Still I find this is one of the most important mod requests.

FNIS is already out quite some time now I think, but I guess the animator modders rather like creating perverse animations and feminine high heels animations for Skyrim..?

I think modders should add stuff to the game that matters and not focus too much on the other stuff anymore. Adding in more immersion into what's there already and not adding new stuff instead.

But I don't know if the majority of nexus people want this.

Probably quite hard to add at this point.

But we shouldn't forget that similar mods were made years after Oblivion was released. It just takes some time before someone finds a way to do this.

I love mass effect series. At first I kinda didn't like the sci-fi stuff but now I just love it.

Biggest reasons why I like it so much is the character interaction. Characters act differently, you can see when they are nervous/angry/happy.

However, I can see that if every NPC in Skyrim would have "real" personality, Bethesda would need more employers.

Hopefully they bring back some sort of "Personality" system into next TES game, and make the NPC's even more lively.

Skyrim was already big step as the world around you doesn't always stop when you start talking, and if NPC was doing something he kept doing it. (Smiths, wood chopping etc.)
