rpgfreak9999
In the style of "Only Save When Resting" ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/70760? ), except it should disable saving completely, which is the perfect way to simulate true permadeath. Final note: I use Mod Organizer, and I noticed in the "Configurator" tab that there's an ini section called "SaveGame". If it is possible to impose disabled saving on oneself through simple ini tweaks, I would really love to know! Thanks in advance!
JobVanDam
So you would never turn off the game? I feel these "rare save" mods are not a good idea because Skyrim can be an unstable game sometimes so when the game crashes your being punished for doing nothing wrong. zin90
I don't see any point in such mod due to the unpredictability the game sometimes have. Also, with such a mod you'd essentially have to keep the game running on your PC 24/7. Even if you run a dedicated computer where you'd never tab out(since this can crash the game), you'd still risk random crashes by simply playing, which would essentially reset your progress. Another big reason to why this would be a bad idea is your energy bill. Assuming your aim is to finish the game to 100%, not only the main quest, you'd possibly spend hundreds of hours to do so. Unless you have free energy included in your rent, I wouldn't do this. It would just be a waste of money. Remember that your game only have to crash once during your gameplay to ruin it permanently. The odds for the game to not crash in several hundreds of hours would possibly be astronomical. You'd essentially have a better chance to die today, get struck by lightning several times in a row or win the jackpot in today's lottery. You may or may not like those odds. If you want to enjoy the game, such a mod would not be feasible. If you want to try playing without save even though my warnings, you may be able to do this. Try the following. You can turn off Save on Rest, Save on Wait and Save on Travel in the settings. You can also turn off Save on Character menu there, by simply pressing the right arrow key all the way. Now don't save manually at all. Alternatively, if this doesn't work, simply reset the game yourself once you die. This solution would probably be much easier and doesn't require any mod. All it requires is your own will and discipline to actually play by your own rules.
