A couple of ideas.

Enhanced Corpse Harvesting

Basically, what I am proposing here is to either add some sort of perk or ability that allows corpses of any time to be more thoroughly harvested for ingredients. This is different from simply altering drop values because it would be a good deal more selective, since a character who wouldn't normally brew potions and poisons would not likely bother with ripping out a human heart for sale.

What would happen is that unlocking the ability or perk will allow you to take more off of certain creatures than usual. It could take the form of some sort of ability (like Vampire feeding) or a perk that simply makes those items more available. In any case, here's three proposed permutations of this basic idea:

  • amount of ingredients that you can take is influenced by the level of your Alchemy skill. So if you have 20 Alchemy, you would have something like a 1.05x multiplier (since default is 15) to your chances of grabbing ingredients. As your Alchemy skill gets higher, you not only get more ingredients but are also more likely to grab rarer ones as well. This would probably be a supplement to an unlockable perk or ability.

  • an ability like vampire feeding where approaching some or all corpses would give you the option of checking their inventory normally or extracting extra stuff from them. This would probably require some sort of perk in the Alchemy tree, status effect (like Vampirism), or is unlocked by certain quests/items.

  • a perk that increase the drop chances of certain ingredients, especially ones which ordinarily would not be dropped at all. It would either be present in the Alchemy skill tree or unlocked by certain quests/items.

Vampire Feeding

This one is relatively simple. Make it so that vampires can feed off of human hearts and flesh in order to sate their blood thirst. Just so that this doesn't completely replace regular feeding, eating hearts and flesh may have a lesser effect or certain drawbacks.

Could possibly be further expanded by allowing vampires to make these items into blood potions that also grant buffs like an increased resistance to fire.

Specialty Bonus Buff

What I am suggesting here is to make it so that choosing a certain number of perks from skill trees in either the Thief, Warrior, or Mage nebulae will grant a permanent passive bonus to some attributes. For example, if you have about 20 perks distributed in any way among the Destruction, Alteration and Illusion trees, you would receive a passive bonus called "Magicka Adept" which increases your magicka pool by 20 points, magicka regeneration by 2%, and increases all magical damage dealt by 5% while increasing magical resistance by 5%. Having a total of 45 perks put into Magicka skills would grant the "Arcane Master" passive bonus, which increases magicka pool by 50 points, magicka regeneration by 5%, and all magical damage and resistance by 10%.

Basic Dualcast Buff

Dual-cast Flames causes the burn duration to last twice as long, dual-cast Frostbite causes enemies to move even slower, and dual-cast Sparks doubles magicka drain. All dual-cast abilities have slightly longer ranges than normal, which applies for all spells with range.
