Acij
So I'm fairly new to the modding community and I have downloaded about 10 or so mods to my fallout new vegas that had a progress of about 100 hours. My computer hard drive had to be reseted so I lost all my files but I heard steam saves the games progress files. So I was wondering if it is possible to redownload all the mods that I had and pick up where I left off on my new vegas progress and have all the weapons from the mods that I had collected and stored or will it dissapear? dubiousintent
If you have Steam's Client "cloud sync" enabled (it is by default), then it is storing your game save files "in the cloud" and you should be able to restore them. As long as you have installed all the mods you had previously been using, you should not lose anything. However, AFAIK Steam's cloud does not have your mods or "load order". (Never used "cloud sync restore" myself.) If you get a message upon loading a save file that there is "missing content", immediately exit to the desktop without changing or saving anything. You're missing a mod from your load order. -Dubious-
